The winter months in and around the areas of Boonville offer both down-hill skiing and cross-country skiing.  Snow Ridge Ski Resort in Turin and McCauley Mountain in Old Forge have family fun trails for the novice to the expert.  Cross-country ski trails are abundant and provide wooded serene trails for all to enjoy.  The groomed BREIA (Black River Environmental Improvement Association) trail system has visitors returning to the area time and again.
